Building Blocks of Belief

There’s no other book on Earth that’s been loved, hated, debated, banned, and yet still survived like the Bible. Some say it’s the inspired Word of God; others claim it’s just a collection of ancient myths and moral tales. But when we strip away the opinions and take a look at the evidence; historical, linguistic, and archaeological; what we find is both fascinating and undeniable.

So many people today are searching for something real, something solid to believe in. I often meet those who were raised in church but drifted away, or others who never heard the Gospel and wonder if it’s all just myth or tradition. I understand that hesitation, because faith should rest on truth, not emotion. If Jesus Christ is truly the Son of God, there must be evidence, not just belief. And thankfully, there is. History itself bears witness.

From the beginning of time, humanity’s story has been one of relationship; a Father reaching out to His creation and creation learning how to reach back. In the Old Testament, that relationship was built through law: a system designed to protect, correct, and govern people who had strayed far from God’s original intent. But as history shows, law without love could only go so far.

Since the dawn of creation, all truth flowed from one Source. God Himself. Yet somewhere along the way, humanity began to draw lines that were never meant to exist: one for the spiritual, one for the physical, and another for the scientific. We began labeling what God had created as separate, when in truth, it all came from His breath, His Word, and His mind.

This lesson is a reminder that faith and science, spirit and substance, heaven and earth are not competing realities. They are threads of the same divine fabric, woven together by the Creator who holds all things in perfect harmony.

Throughout history, God has revealed Himself to humanity through His name. Each generation has known Him by a name that carried deep meaning, cultural context, and divine purpose. Yet, over thousands of years, the original sacred names have been translated, transliterated, and adapted into the languages of the world. Today, we’ll walk through the timeline of how the divine name evolved from YHWH to Yeshua, and finally to Jesus; and explore how each step still points back to the same eternal truth: Yahweh saves.
